Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg' ~ Trompenburg Maple in-stock IMAGE: Ball Seed CompanyTrompenburg Maple is a small deciduous tree with an upright habit. Its deeply cut palmate foliage emerges a dark burgundy that holds well into summer before fading to red green and bronze, then turns crimson in fall. Small, non showy but attractive umbels of red flowers bloom in spring followed by samaras. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well drained soils. Trompenburg can tolerate full sun in the south, but still prefers afternoon shade.
